Edo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has described the upcoming Ovia Federal Constituency bye-election as a crucial test of the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) readiness for the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the APC campaign flag-off in Ovia South West LGA, Idahosa urged party members to intensify mobilization to ensure victory for the party’s candidate, Omosede Igbinedion. He noted that Governor Monday Okpebholo has embarked on major infrastructural projects in the constituency, adding that APC’s success in the poll would further boost development efforts.
“The bye-election will show our preparedness for 2027. We want a 100% win for APC. Tell your families and neighbours that APC is the way forward,” Idahosa said.
Omosede Igbinedion praised Idahosa’s grassroots leadership, promising to complement his work in Abuja if elected. Senator Neda Imasuen also expressed confidence in Igbinedion’s ability to leverage her legislative experience for greater impact in her second term.
Council Chairman Nosakhare Edobo called on residents to back the governor and the APC, citing visible commitment to the people’s welfare.
