Dr. Ernest Ahamioje, Founder of the Ernest Ahamioje Project’s Initiatives, has urged the people of Esanland to take full advantage of the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) voter registration exercise across all local government areas in Edo State.
Speaking to journalists in Esan South-East Local Government Area, Dr. Ahamioje emphasized that voter registration is a crucial step in empowering communities to shape their collective future, particularly as the 2027 general elections draw closer.
He stressed that by registering to vote, Esan people would be strengthening their voices and sending a strong signal of commitment to progress and development through active political participation.
“It is time for us to take our destiny into our own hands. Registering to vote is not just about civic duty, it is about empowering ourselves to influence the future of our communities and the nation,” he stated.
Dr. Ahamioje also encouraged the people to rally behind Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, while aligning with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. According to him, the support and unity of Esanland would be critical to mobilizing towards the set electoral targets in the state.
He described this period as a “critical moment,” urging unity, solidarity, and collective responsibility among the people to ensure their interests remain a top priority in national affairs.
Dr. Ahamioje further called on families, friends, and community groups to fully mobilize their members to participate in the voter registration exercise. He maintained that increased participation would ensure Esan voices are heard and well represented in the political space.
