Laila Charani, one of the wives of Senator Ned Nwoko, has publicly accused her co-wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, of drug use and causing unrest within their polygamous household.
In a lengthy post shared on Instagram, Laila denied claims that Regina ever supported her financially, insisting she was fully content with her husband’s provisions.
“How dare you say that you ever gave me money? For what exactly? I am very content with the provisions my husband makes for our family,” she wrote. “We should show Nigerians our bank accounts to see who is paying who.”
The Moroccan-born wife alleged that the ongoing tension between Regina and Senator Nwoko was linked to his reported disapproval of her alleged lifestyle.
“You know my husband completely hates alcohol, drugs, and smoking. The only reason you are fighting him is because he wants you to stop your drug and alcohol addiction,” she claimed.
Laila further alleged that Regina had introduced her to drugs six years ago and had since influenced domestic staff and family members.
“You have been a bad influence since you married into this family, giving drugs to nannies, workers, and even your younger sister, Destiny,” she wrote.
According to Laila, she was rescued from substance abuse through her husband’s intervention and vowed not to allow her daughters near Regina without supervision.
“Please go and sort yourself out. Seek help immediately, continue your rehabilitation, and leave the other wives out of this,” she concluded.
Neither Regina Daniels nor Senator Ned Nwoko has responded publicly to the allegations as of press time.
