A 100-level Physics student of the University of Ibadan (UI), Wisdom Okojie, has officially entered the Guinness World Records after setting a new world record for the Most Lanyards Worn at Once.

The remarkable feat, which took place at the Faculty of Science Lecture Theatre, saw Okojie wear a staggering 600 lanyards, surpassing the previous record of 509 held by Salacnib “Sonny” Molina from the United States.
According to reports, the attempt was not only about breaking a record but also aimed at raising awareness for out-of-school children in Nigeria, a cause that Okojie has passionately championed for months.
Speaking after the achievement, the young record holder expressed gratitude to the UI community, his team, and supporters who made the event possible. “This is for Nigeria, for the University of Ibadan, and for every young person who believes that impossible is nothing,” he said.
The event has since sparked excitement and pride across social media, with UI students and Nigerians celebrating Okojie’s determination, creativity, and resilience.
The Guinness World Records website has now officially recognized his achievement, confirming Wisdom Okojie as the new record holder for the Most Lanyards Worn at Once (600).
