Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede, has voiced her support for Regina Daniels following the alleged arrest of the actress’s brother by her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
In a heartfelt post shared on social media, Yvonne condemned the ongoing situation, describing it as a grave injustice and a reflection of deeper issues surrounding women’s rights in Nigeria.
She wrote: “Evil thrives when good people are silent. We will not sit and watch the ongoing injustice because a young girl decided to exit a union. Sir, your current actions are proving the young girl right. This is a fight for the girl-child and for our democracy as Nigerians. #freesamuelojeagwu.”
Her words have since gained traction online, with fans and fellow celebrities applauding her courage for speaking out in defense of justice and female dignity.
Yvonne’s statement reframed the matter as more than a domestic dispute instead, as a fight for the protection of the girl-child and women’s rights in Nigeria.
