Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has appointed former Big Brother Naija housemate Antoinette “Anto” Lecky as Senior Special Assistant on Tourism & Creative Economy, effective immediately. The appointment was confirmed via an official letter dated June 23, 2025, signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umaru Musa Ikhilor.

Anto Lecky brings a rich and diverse background across media, entertainment, advocacy, and creative industries:
- Head of Operations for Nigeria’s first private basketball league and professional athleisure brand
- Programme Manager at the Kunle Afolayan Film & Television Academy
- Former Arts & Special Projects Lead at ElectHER, promoting women’s political engagement
- Host of DStv show “Sights of Flavours”, covering travel and culture
- Special Assistant on Digital & New Media to the Minister of Steel Development, Shuaibu Audu
Governor Okpebholo’s administration emphasized that Anto’s appointment aligns with Edo State’s strategic push to cement its leadership in tourism and creative economy, especially in light of the return of Benin artefacts and forthcoming cultural institutions.
