Newly surfaced CCTV footage has brought renewed attention to the reported physical confrontation between Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire and actor Taye Arimoro during a movie shoot.
The recording,
which is now circulating on social media, appears to show Ovire and Arimoro in a heated exchange. According to multiple reports, Arimoro had earlier accused Ovire and her crew of assaulting him after he wished to leave the set when his contracted hours were reportedly over.
Arimoro claimed his car was blocked, his tyres deflated, and he suffered visible injuries to his gums and lips. He has suggested legal action is forthcoming.
Ovire, however, has offered a different version of events. She accused Arimoro of attacking two crew members after being asked to complete additional scenes and claimed her driver was injured in the altercation.
The viral video has ignited strong reactions online, with several voices criticizing Ovire’s conduct and others defending Arimoro’s restraint. Social media users questioned the professionalism of both parties while calling for mediation and conflict resolution within the industry.
As of now, neither actor has released a formal joint statement, and it remains unclear what immediate steps the film’s production company plans to take to resolve the matter.
