Popular Nigerian entertainer, DJ Dimple Nipple, has shared a disturbing account of her recent experience with immigration authorities in the Philippines, raising serious concerns about the treatment of Nigerian travelers abroad.
In a heartfelt Instagram post titled “My Manila Immigration Nightmare,” the Lagos-based DJ described how what was supposed to be a milestone quickly spiraled into one of the most humiliating and traumatic period of her life.

DJ Dimple Nipple, whose real name is Rachel Oluwabukola Martins, narrated that she and her best friend were detained, stripped, and subjected to invasive and degrading treatment upon arriving at the Manila airport, despite having valid travel documents.
“I was so excited about my gig in the Philippines. I had prepared thoroughly, spent a lot of money, made all the necessary arrangements, and was genuinely looking forward to the experience,” she wrote.
According to her, the duo departed Lagos at 3 p.m., had a stopover in Qatar, and finally arrived in Manila at around 4 p.m. local time.

“We greeted the officers politely, but they were cold and unwelcoming. Still, we remained respectful and handed over our passports,” she recounted.
However, what followed was far from professional conduct. DJ Dimple Nipple alleged that the officers held them for several hours without any explanation, searched them repeatedly, and later stripped and filmed them without consent. She also claimed they were forced to sleep on the floor in what she described as a detention-like setting.
“Why Approve Our Visas If You’ll Humiliate Us?”
In her emotional post, DJ Dimple Nipple questioned the logic behind granting Nigerians visas if they are going to be treated like criminals upon arrival.
“@immigph @dfaphl @flypal, if you don’t want Nigerians in your country, then why approve our visas? Why collect visa fees only to humiliate, detain, and send us back like criminals?” she asked.
She further expressed frustration over the apparent double standard, pointing out that Filipino nationals live and work freely in Nigeria, yet Nigerians are often mistreated when visiting the Philippines.
“You collect our money, you grant our visas, but when we show up, you treat us like we’re nothing. Why?” she added.
The post has since gone viral, sparking massive outrage across social media platforms. Many Nigerians have taken to Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) to share their own unpleasant immigration experiences and to demand an official explanation from Philippine authorities.
The incident has also reignited calls for Nigeria government, to defend the dignity of their citizens abroad and re-evaluate diplomatic relationships with countries where discrimination and abuse are becoming frequent.
As public pressure mounts, many are now urging the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address this disturbing trend and demand accountability from nations involved.
