Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has praised Governor Monday Okpebholo for his remarkable performance, stating that his achievements within just one year in office surpass what some past governors accomplished in eight years.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Friday Aghedo, Idahosa made this remark while hosting a delegation from the Esan Daughters Development Initiative of Edo State in his office.
He emphasized that the Okpebholo administration has only just begun, and with continued public support, Edo State will witness even greater progress in the months ahead.
According to Idahosa, the governor’s SHINE Agenda is already reshaping governance across the state, focusing on people-oriented policies that promote unity and development.
“Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, to me, is God’s gift to Esan land. The entire Edo State people are happy with him,” Idahosa said.
The president of the Esan Daughters Development Initiative, Mrs. Kate Osaro, also commended both Okpebholo and Idahosa for their complementary leadership, which she said has brought peace and stability to the state.
In a related visit, the deputy governor received a delegation from Our Lady of Mercy Nursery and Basic School ahead of their 50th anniversary celebration. He applauded the school’s management for their role in shaping young minds and urged the pupils to aim high and consider leadership roles in the future.
Speaking on behalf of the organizing committee, Amb. Philip Ogbebor thanked the Edo State Government for its continuous support of education, highlighting the administration’s strong commitment to improving learning outcomes and youth development.
