A European man living in Nigeria has sparked widespread online reactions after posting a viral video where he passionately defends Nigeria, claiming he feels “safer in Nigeria than in Europe.”
In the clip, the unidentified foreigner criticizes Western media outlets for painting Nigeria in a negative light, alleging that most of what is said about the country abroad is false and fear-driven.
“All the Europe television saying that Nigeria is dangerous… Don’t put your money there. I can do what I want here in Nigeria, and I am more free here than in Europe,” he said.
The man urged other Europeans to disregard negative narratives, encouraging them to visit, invest, and enjoy the beauty and opportunities Nigeria offers.
“The Food and Life Here Is Better”
He continued:
“You can also invest here. It’s beautiful. The food and the life here is better than in Europe. Forget what European television says — all lies.”
The bold testimony has since gained traction, drawing praise from Nigerians proud of the country’s culture, hospitality, and resilience.
