Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has stirred fresh controversy after publicly claiming he has a video that allegedly shows how late singer Mohbad was killed.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Yomi stated that the video was sent to him by Mohbad’s younger brother, who allegedly planned to use it to demand money from him. According to Yomi, the footage contains critical details about what happened to Mohbad and must not be dismissed.
The actor said he is putting his life at risk to ensure justice is served, insisting that the content of the video amounts to murder evidence and a confession. He also called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to personally intervene in the matter.
Yomi named Wunmi Cynthia and others as individuals who must be held accountable, stressing that justice must be done regardless of whose interests are affected.
He said in part:
“I am putting my life on the line to make sure justice is done. This video proves what really happened, and it cannot be ignored. I will not stay silent while the truth is hidden and those responsible go unpunished.”
He also claimed there are attempts to silence him:
“They want to silence me and use the video against you in the next election, Your Excellency. Please look into this matter. I don’t know why it is suddenly wrong to be loyal to your government.”
Yomi’s revelations have revived national interest in Mohbad’s tragic death, with many Nigerians now wondering whether this alleged new evidence could finally move the case forward.
