Davido has once again proven that his love for music transcends material gain, revealing that despite his massive wealth, his drive remains rooted in passion.
Speaking candidly during a conversation with friends, Davido explained that he could comfortably stop working today and still live lavishly, thanks to what he described as “billions of dollars” at his disposal. Yet, his commitment to music and its culture continues to fuel his relentless work ethic.
“I’m grateful to myself for being hardworking. The individual strength and mental ability that goes into this type of work, especially with a lot of odds against me… then I say I have to do it. It’s not for the money; I have billions of dollars waiting for me,”

“From today, if I don’t work again in my life, I have billions of dollars. But a lot of odds against me is why I said, ‘fvck it, I gotta do this.’”
Davido continues to push the envelope musically, recently revealing the inspiration behind his upcoming album titled “5ive”.
