In a fresh wave of celebrity controversy, street-pop artiste Portable has publicly blasted Cubana Chief Priest over his open letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding the life imprisonment of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.
Cubana Chief Priest had cautioned the President that he might not secure up to 10,000 votes from the South-East in the 2027 election if Kanu remained behind bars. The comment triggered an immediate backlash from Portable, who accused the socialite of grandstanding instead of confronting the President directly when they met earlier in the year.
Portable wrote:
“But you forgot to tell him when you snapped a picture. Who told you Tinubu go win? It’s not today your brother dey face am. You no fit get power pass Nigerian government. After God na Government. Odala Igbo man. You dey fight for your own pocket, your brother dey prison. You forgot to tell Seyi Tinubu say your brother dey prison after you don collect money chop for where you no work.”
The outburst has sparked mixed reactions online, with many debating the motive behind Chief Priest’s message and Portable’s fiery response.
