Following the official declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has been announced as the winner of the Anambra State governorship election.
In his first address at his hometown, Isuofia, Governor Soludo, through his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, expressed deep gratitude to Ndi Anambra for renewing his mandate, describing the victory as “a collective achievement that reflects the aspirations of our citizens.”
“This victory is for all Anambra people. I am profoundly grateful for the trust and confidence reposed in us. You have not seen anything yet. Working together, we will do even more,” Soludo declared.
Highlighting that his re-election marks only the third time a governor has secured a second term in the state, Soludo noted that his administration received support from 98 percent of the wards across Anambra.
He also commended the democratic process, describing the election as “free, fair, and transparent,” and applauded INEC for the credible conduct of the polls.
Governor Soludo extended his hand of fellowship to the 15 other candidates who contested against him, emphasizing unity and inclusion. “APGA remains magnanimous in victory. We must work together for the good of our beloved state,” he said.
In his message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Soludo thanked him for allowing the people’s votes to count, saying, “The people spoke very loudly, and their voices were heard.”
He further appreciated the security agencies for maintaining peace and order throughout the electoral process.
Looking ahead, Governor Soludo reaffirmed his commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing security, and creating economic opportunities across the state.
“The journey begins anew. I am dedicated to ensuring that every Anambra citizen feels the positive impact of good governance,” he concluded.
