Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo is once again under heavy scrutiny as activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) released a 12-minute exposé alleging a plot to frame Naira Marley for the death of fast-rising singer Mohbad (Imole).
Key Revelations from VDM:
- A WhatsApp group titled “Concerned Citizens” was allegedly formed just after Mohbad’s death in September 2023.
- Group members reportedly include Iyabo Ojo, Tonto Dikeh, Samklef, Jigan, Aloma (Davido’s associate), Gistlover, and others.
- VDM claims the group’s intent quickly shifted from justice to framing Naira Marley, who was abroad at the time of Mohbad’s passing.
- He also accused them of attempting to silence him after he requested a DNA test for Mohbad’s son and allegedly leaking his nude photos to blogs.
- Screenshots surfaced showing group members planning to get VDM arrested, with Iyabo Ojo allegedly blaming Davido for supporting him.
- VDM labeled the group a coordinated smear campaign, tying in influencers like Reno Omokri and Dr. Kemi Olunloyo, who also questioned the popular narrative.
Samklef Responds
Musician and media figure Samklef confirmed the group’s existence but denied it was secret or had any agenda against Naira Marley or VDM. He accused VDM of manipulating public opinion and called for him to release unambiguous proof.
What’s Next?
VDM has promised to drop Part 2 of his investigation with more screenshots, audio clips, and evidence implicating members of the group. He also alleges that Drey (Davido’s publicist) has deeper knowledge of the entire situation.
