Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has officially emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Kogi Central Senatorial District, positioning herself for another electoral contest in one of the state’s most closely watched political races.
The lawmaker received her Certificate of Return on Wednesday at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, formally confirming her candidacy for the upcoming senatorial election.
The presentation ceremony was attended by key party leaders, including PDP National Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed, National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu, and other party candidates.
Speaking after receiving the certificate, Akpoti-Uduaghan described the moment as both an honour and a responsibility, saying the mandate reflects the confidence reposed in her by party members and constituents.
“This Certificate of Return is not just a document; it is a symbol of the trust and confidence that our party members and the people have placed in me. I accept it with humility, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to serve,” she said.
The senator reaffirmed her commitment to quality representation, good governance, and policies aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.
She added that her focus remains on delivering impactful leadership and advocating for initiatives that address the needs of her constituents and the nation at large.
Her emergence sets the stage for what is expected to be another keenly contested senatorial race in Kogi Central as political activities gradually build toward the next general elections.
