Actor Uche Maduagwu has criticised social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM) over his reported claim that he is bigger than Nigerian music stars Wizkid and Davido, saying the activist needs “spiritual help.”
Reacting to the statement, Uche said he was surprised that VeryDarkMan would compare himself with two of Nigeria’s biggest music exports, questioning who may have convinced him he had attained such a level of influence.
According to the actor, the activist may have become carried away by the attention he has received online or by people around him who constantly praise him.
Uche also pointed out that Davido had publicly supported VeryDarkMan in the past, making the comparison even more surprising.
While acknowledging the importance of self-confidence, the actor insisted there should be limits, especially when comparing oneself with artistes who have spent years building successful careers and achieving international recognition.
“VDM, you need spiritual help. So, e don reach the level wey VDM dey say Wizkid and Davido are not bigger than him? Abeg, who are the people deceiving this boy sef? Like, na overfeeding be this or just seeking attention? No be the boy wey Davido lift up be this?” he said.
