The Alexx Ekubo funeral has continued to stir emotions across Nollywood, with friends, colleagues, and family members paying heartfelt tributes to the late actor as he was finally laid to rest in his hometown of Arochukwu, Abia State.

Alexx Ekubo was buried on Thursday after a series of funeral activities that included a service of songs in Lagos and a wake held at his family residence in Arochukwu.

Several videos from the burial ceremony have surfaced online, capturing touching moments as pallbearers carried the actor’s coffin while a trumpet performance played softly in the background.

Among those seen mourning was his wife, Anulika Amakom Ekubo, who walked behind the casket while holding a framed photograph of the late actor alongside other grieving family members.

Denrele Edun Shares Final Voice Note From Alexx Ekubo

Media personality Denrele Edun revealed that he recently replayed the last voice note Alexx Ekubo sent to him from his hospital bed.

According to Denrele, what hurts the most is knowing that Alexx was battling personal health challenges while still making time to comfort and encourage others.

He recalled meeting the actor in 2010 during the Mr Nigeria pageant, describing him as ambitious, caring and determined to leave a lasting impression wherever he went.

Denrele wrote that even during their final trip together, Alexx appeared physically weak but continued joking with everyone and trying to lift people’s spirits.

“That was his superpower,” he said.

Rita Dominic Bids Alexx Ekubo Final Farewell

Actress Rita Dominic also paid tribute to her late colleague, admitting she still struggles to accept that someone so young and full of life could pass away so suddenly.

She offered prayers for his family and wished him peace among the angels.

“It’s heartbreaking to see a young person in their prime taken from us too soon,” she wrote.

Noble Igwe Reacts to Burial Videos

Media personality Noble Igwe weighed in on discussions surrounding videos shared from the burial ceremony.

According to him, some of the clips circulating online gave the impression of a celebration rather than a solemn farewell, appearing to support earlier comments made by Daddy Freeze.

“There’s really no need to give that Daddy reason to talk,” Noble wrote on his Instagram Story.

As tributes continue pouring in, many fans say they will remember Alexx Ekubo not only for his performances on screen but also for the kindness and warmth friends say he showed even in his most difficult moments.
