Pastor Adeboye Opens Up on Oyo Kidnap Victims and His Prayer to God

by Editor

Enoch Adeboye said he believes God assured him that the schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oyo State would be released in a “dramatic” manner.

According to Adeboye:

  • He said the abduction led him into intense prayer after hearing criticism that prayers had not prevented the incident.
  • He claimed God told him “the release of the children is going to be dramatic.”
  • He added that God did not reveal when or how the release would happen.
  • He also said God spoke to him about what would happen to those sponsoring terrorism and kidnapping in Nigeria, though he did not provide further details.

Adeboye was referring to the abduction of pupils and teachers from three schools in Oriire Local Government Area on May 15. During the incident, a mathematics teacher, Michael Oyedokun, was reportedly killed while in captivity.

The RCCG leader also reiterated that he had previously urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intensify efforts against terrorism and kidnapping. Defending the President, Adeboye argued that once a commander-in-chief gives operational directives to security agencies, he has fulfilled his constitutional role, saying, “You don’t expect him to go and put on khaki.”

It is important to note that Adeboye’s statements about what God told him are matters of his personal religious belief and testimony. They are not independently verifiable facts or official government information.
