Drama as Peller Slams Odumodublvck Over Viral ‘Olodo Uprising’ Reaction

Popular Nigerian streamer Peller has criticised rapper Odumodublvck following his public support for YCee’s controversial “Olodo Uprising” comment, sparking heated reactions across social media.

The controversy began after Odumodublvck publicly backed YCee by posting:

“OLODO UPRISING
YCEE TALK FOR THERE
SCORE: A1”

However, Peller reacted strongly, accusing the rapper of hypocrisy and claiming that Odumodublvck had previously reached out to him privately seeking assistance involving his partner, Jarvis, for a job-related opportunity.

Peller alleged that while some artists show public support or friendliness, they often change their attitude when they need promotional help or visibility for new music releases.

He further criticised what he described as a growing trend in the music industry where artists expect influencers and streamers to promote songs for free despite earning revenue from their music.

According to him, content creators also deserve compensation for their platforms and audience reach.

Peller said:

“The fact I respect you ehn, this one wey you do make me know the kind person wey musician be. I swear to God this same person called me about 3 months ago hyping me saying I love what you do this and that, because he wants Jarvis number, he wan give Jarvis work. She bill you. Since then you don dey see us as bad people.

If una song top chart una dey give anybody inside the money? This whole stuff make me know musicians dey suffer nah. Like 10 to 15 musicians get money for this Nigeria, the rest dey want free things.

Make I use my 15 million followers page post you for free? You are making money and we also need to make money.

If I said I want you guys on my stream, una go ignore the message, then reply when una wan drop music.”

The comments have triggered discussions online about the relationship between musicians and digital influencers, especially regarding promotion, collaboration, and monetisation in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
