The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election.
Announcing the final results on Saturday, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Ekiti State, Dr. Bunmi Omoseyindemi, said Oyebanji secured a total of 319,224 votes to earn a second term in office.
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with 40,543 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) finished third after polling 12,872 votes.
The outcome confirms a landslide victory for the incumbent governor, who won in all 16 local government areas of the state.
