The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, has urged Nigerians to seek God’s intervention in tackling the country’s worsening insecurity, describing divine help as the ultimate solution to the nation’s challenges.
Kumuyi made the appeal while speaking with journalists after a courtesy visit to the Benue State Government House ahead of the church’s Global Crusade scheduled to hold in Gboko and Otukpo Local Government Areas.
According to the cleric, although individuals may be responsible for acts of violence and insecurity, lasting peace can only come through God’s intervention.
“We know that, when bad things happen, there are people who are responsible for it, but the people are not the solution. God is our problem solver,” he said.
He called on Nigerians to return to God through humility, repentance and prayer, adding that God is willing to intervene if people sincerely seek Him.
“God is waiting for us. He said, ‘If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and turn away from their sins,’ He is ready to solve their problems,” Kumuyi added.
The renowned preacher explained that the week-long Global Crusade in Gboko and Otukpo is designed to encourage people to renew their faith and seek God’s help during the country’s challenging period.
Kumuyi also commended the Benue State Government for the progress recorded in infrastructure and education despite ongoing security challenges. He expressed optimism that continued efforts by the government, combined with faith and prayer, would contribute to lasting peace and sustainable development in the state.
