Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a cabinet reshuffle affecting several top government officials, including Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, the Deputy Chief of Staff, and the Principal Private Secretary.
The development was announced in a statement by the Governor’s Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mashood Agboola, who described the exercise as a minor cabinet shake-up aimed at strengthening the administration.
According to the statement, the reshuffle is intended to create opportunities for more members of the ruling party to participate in governance while injecting fresh ideas and renewed energy into the state’s administration.
Governor AbdulRazaq expressed appreciation to the affected officials for their dedication and contributions to the development of Kwara State, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
The statement also directed all affected officials to return government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government as part of the transition process.
The cabinet reshuffle is part of the governor’s ongoing efforts to reposition his administration and improve governance. New appointments are expected to be announced in the coming days to fill the vacant positions created by the exercise.
