Nollywood actress and media personality Nancy Isime has shared her thoughts on relationships and finances, stating that financial stability is important for a successful marriage.
Speaking during an appearance on the Tea With Tay Podcast, the 34-year-old actress said marrying a poor man may not guarantee happiness, especially when couples are faced with daily financial struggles.
According to Nancy, love alone may not be enough to sustain a fulfilling family life when basic needs remain unmet.

The actress stressed that marriage should never be seen as a means of escaping poverty, noting that money-related challenges can put immense pressure on couples and deprive them of the joy that comes with building a family.
“Marriage is not a poverty alleviation scheme, but I don’t believe marrying a poor man can make you happy,” she said.
Nancy explained that difficulties such as unpaid rent, inability to afford children’s education, and lack of food in the house can affect the quality of life within a marriage.
“When rent is due, school fees can’t be paid and there is no food in the house, it is difficult to have a fantastic life,” she added.
The actress, however, clarified that she was not suggesting that love cannot exist in relationships where money is scarce.
“I am not saying there is no love without money. But love and a fantastic life are not the same,” she stated.
