Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has denied taking another man’s wife, dismissing allegations linked to his marriage to actress Judy Austin as false and deliberately aimed at tarnishing his image.
In a strongly worded statement shared on social media, Yul Edochie said he has faced years of criticism and accusations, insisting that attempts to bring him down have repeatedly failed.
According to the actor, the latest claim being circulated is that he snatched another man’s wife, a narrative he says ignores key details surrounding Judy Austin’s previous marriage.
“My aura gives my enemies sleepless nights. In the last four years they’ve told all sorts of lies against me and they all failed,” he wrote.
“Now their latest lie is that I took another man’s wife. A man who left his wife in 2013, married another woman and moved on. Nobody heard his voice on social media.”
Yul appeared to be responding to allegations made by Judy Austin’s former husband, Emmanuel Obasi, who recently claimed that the actor was involved with Judy while she was still married to him.
The actor argued that Obasi only resurfaced after seeing his ex-wife gain public attention and success.
“Years after he sees the ex-wife is now doing well, he comes back to attach himself to her and say his wife was taken from him. All these coordinated lies just to bring me down. I laugh,” Yul added.
Reaffirming his confidence, the actor described himself as resilient despite constant criticism, attributing his continued popularity and success to divine grace.
“I’m a rock. No mortal or spirit can bring me down. They can’t understand why my light is still shining bright. It’s called grace. I have God’s grace,” he stated.
Yul also used the occasion to celebrate Father’s Day, extending prayers to fathers around the world while describing himself as “a chosen one” and “the great King of our time.”
