Gov Okpebholo Nominates Terry Igiebor as Chairman of Edo Ecological Funding Commission

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the nomination of businessman and grassroots politician, Terry Igiebor, as Chairman of the Edo State Ecological Funding and Management Commission.

The appointment was announced in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.

According to the statement, the nomination is part of efforts by the state government to strengthen environmental management, improve the use of ecological funds, and drive sustainable development projects across Edo communities.

Igiebor is known for his involvement in grassroots politics and community development initiatives. He previously served as a member of the Edo State Audit Service Commission, where he was involved in promoting accountability and transparency in public service.

His nomination will now be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation in line with the provisions of the law.

If confirmed by lawmakers, Igiebor is expected to oversee the management of ecological funds and coordinate programmes aimed at tackling environmental challenges and supporting development efforts in different parts of the state.
