“Olodo Uprising” Peller Says Critics Want Him to Quit

by BCM

Nigerian streamer and content creator Peller has responded once again to rapper Ycee, insisting that the criticism directed at him will not stop his progress.
Speaking during a live session, Peller said he has become frustrated by the constant attacks, claiming that some people are hoping he abandons his career.
“Your hatred got nothing on me. I swear to God, I’m frustrated. People want me to be thinking. They want me to quit my career. Am I the only one?” he said.
Peller also claimed that although he is familiar with Ycee’s music, he would not recognize the rapper if they met face-to-face.
“I know Ycee’s music but I don’t know his face,” he added.
The content creator further alleged that several celebrities have privately approached him for promotional deals but later criticized him publicly after discovering they could not afford his fees.
“These celebrities message me for PR but it’s my management that always reply them and give them my rate card. When they see that they can’t pay me because it’s too expensive, they go on podcasts to shade me,” he claimed.
The latest exchange follows Ycee’s appearance on the Afropolitan Podcast, where the rapper described Peller as part of what he called an “Olodo uprising.” Ycee argued that academic excellence is gradually losing value while ignorance is increasingly being celebrated.
The debate has since attracted reactions from several figures in the entertainment industry. Rapper Ladipoe appeared to disagree with Ycee’s position, stating that education and intelligence are not the same, adding that highly educated people can still spread misinformation.
Despite the criticism, Peller has maintained that he remains focused on his career and is not distracted by negative comments.
