VeryDarkMan Calls for Evidence During Sunday Igboho’s Security Operations

by Editor

VeryDarkMan (VDM) has urged Yoruba nation activist Sunday Igboho to ensure that every security operation carried out by his team is properly documented, stressing the importance of transparency and accountability.

Speaking in a video, VeryDarkMan said it is not enough to announce that a gun battle took place without providing evidence showing what happened before, during and after the operation.

He claimed to have watched a video allegedly showing men linked to Sunday Igboho assaulting individuals from northern Nigeria after accusing them of being bandits. While acknowledging the need to tackle insecurity, he cautioned that acting without thorough investigations could create fresh problems.

According to him, security operations should be conducted with care to avoid wrongful accusations or unnecessary abuses.

“Sunday Igboho, you and your boys have to be really careful while doing this job because in the quest of solving a problem, you can end up generating another problem that may likely be bigger than the problem on ground,” he said.

VeryDarkMan also advised Igboho’s team to use body cameras or accompany operations with a cameraman so there would be a complete visual record of events.

“Do your proper investigation and do your due diligence. I will also advise your team to get body cameras or go in with a cameraman. You can’t just come out always to say you were in a gun battle and then you want us to take it as it is,” he added.

His comments have since sparked discussions online, with many social media users debating the importance of accountability, evidence gathering and due process in community-led security operations.
